- Dr. Ajay Krishnan has done his MS in Orthopaedics in May 2003.
- He worked at Medical College Bhavnagar and Surat for more than 5 years.
- At Sir T Hospital, Bhavnagar he was instrumental in developing the New Orthopaedic Department, pioneered in many of the advanced orthopaedic surgeries for the first time in Bhavnagar.
- Dr. Ajay Krishnan joined Dr. Bharat R Dave as a Consultant Spine surgeon in 2009 and they both groomed the spine hospital to make it the only exclusive spine speciality hospital in India now called SSHRI(Stavya Spine Hospital & Research Institute).
- They collectively see an OPD of approximate 20000 new cases and operate around 2000 cases a year.
- He has more than 10 yrs of an incredible amount of work in routine and specialized spine surgery procedures and Spine Pain management.
- He has subspeciality expertise, especially in endoscopic and deformity surgeries. He is the first surgeon doing stitchless daycare endoscopic discectomy under local anaesthesia.
- As an enthusiastic academician, he is involved in many educational activities for doctors and patients. He has made many presentations at national and international conferences.

- He was undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in medical college. At SSHRI he trains two orthopedists fellows in basic and advanced spine surgeries who have the same passion for spine surgery.
